AUTOCAD COURSE
Continuing our AutoCAD journey and moving from the drawbar
to the modified bar. Today we will learn how to work with some tools in the
'Edit' bar, such as move, copy, and rotate tool. How do we use them?
How to use move command.
Before using them,
we will first learn their 'nicknames'. For the drawbar, we already know that to
create anything we go to the 'draw' bar and select the line or circle or arc
option from the drop-down. Similarly, to change anything, we find the tools in
the modify bar, which is found at the top of the menu bar. You can go to the
'Modify' option at the top and select the Move, Rotate, or Copy options from the
dropdown. So, for migration options either, we can either go to the 'Edit' bar
and select the Move option in the dropdown, or you can go to the 'Edit' panel
and select the Move icon there. Or, as you know, a person can also use the
alias M and press 'Enter'. As soon as you enter the nickname 'M' and press
Enter, it will ask you to select one or more items. Now, it's up to you whether
you want to select an object or more than one object. So, for now, what we'll
do is create a rectangle for example. This freehand is rectangular and does not
have a specific shape. Here, I have drawn a rectangle. It's the same thing.
Now, I want to move it to the right side of the screen. So, how can we do this?
I will go to the panel and click on the Move icon. It will ask me to select the
object. I will select the object. It will then ask me to explain the 'base
point'. A 'base point' is necessary to choose anything. It doesn't have to be
objectionable, it can happen anywhere. You can click outside or item. Suppose I
take the center as a 'base point'. Then I move this thing to the right. Now
friends, if the ortho is open, I can only move the object horizontally and
vertically, but if the ortho is not open, I can move the object in any
direction. Suppose, I open the ortho and move it to the right and enter the
value 250 in the command line. So, what will it do? This will displace 250
units on the right. So, guys, it was the same thing. Now, numerous items l.
Suppose I have two circles, here and here. Now, I want to move this whole
object 250 units to the left. So, how can we do this? First, we will enter 'M'
in the command line. Yes, you are right. Then we will select the whole item.
Now, take the 'base point'. Suppose this time I take "base point"
here. Now, we will move the cross ball to the left. Enter a value of 250 in the
command line and press 'Enter'. Now, the whole object will move 250 units to
the left.it's easy to work with the 'move' command dimension, and
it's also very easy if you want to do it independently. Simply enter m in the
command line, select the object, close the ortho, and then move in the desired
direction.
How to use the copy command.
I have an item
here. I just have to copy here to work on it. Now, like the "move"
option. Which was in the 'Edit' bar. Similarly, you will have the option to
'copy' in 'Edit'. Go to the "Edit" bar, then, click the 'Copy' option
in the dropdown. You will then see 'Select-Object' in the command line for one
or more items. Select the object by creating a window around it. It will then
ask for twenty points. But before that, you can see that it is just above the
base point, which says 'Current settings copy mode single'. This means it will
only copy once and take the user out of command. Let's see, here it says
'Explain the basic point'. Take base points anywhere and put them wherever you
want. As soon as you put it in, you will see that it has taken you out of
order. This means that the 'copy' command has a single mode that copies the
item only once and takes you out of the command. Co is a shortcut command.
How to use the Rotate command.
So I will tell you
about the rotate command that you can rotate anything at any angle or you can
rotate simultaneously and you can use these commands at the same time because
the copy is also under rotate. How to move an object. I hope you understand the
concepts. If you still have any doubts, please mention them in the comments
section below. I will return your doubts. Ro is a shortcut command.
