MODIFY TOOL PART 1.
AutoCAD
Modify tool will explain the command of a move, copy, rotate, offset, join, mirror,
scale, fillet, brake, chaffer, etc. And read on to find out what their shortcut
keys are.
Command Name Usage and Explanation
1. 1. Move
This is the first command of the modify tool to move an object to another location in
AutoCAD while retaining the shape of the object as before.
ñ How
to use this command.
You first have to draw
any object on the AutoCAD draw sheet. After that, you will enter the move
command using the keyboard. Its command is D+Enter. After pressing the command, we will select the whole
object or the part to be moved. Click the right mouse button to move the object
from the place where it is to be moved.
2. 2. Copy
This command is a
copy command of the AutoCAD modification tool. Copy means to get an object in
its drawn state without redrawing one or more.
ñ How
to use this command.
Draw an object
on the AutoCAD draw sheet. Then press the copy command CP+Enter. Select the
object. Click the right mouse button to copy it.
3. 3. Rotate.
These AutoCAD
rotate commands are used to rotate any object drawn in AutoCAD at any angle.
. It can rotate objects in angles 90,180,270,360 and
all. Can also be rotated to the current angle on occasion.
ñ How
to use this command.
After
entering the rotate command RO+Enter from the keyboard, select the object.
Rotate the object by pressing the right mouse button. And type the angle in
which you want to rotate and click the enter button.
4 4. Offset.
Offset is the command of AutoCAD. Used to easily draw one line with another.
ñ How
to use this command.
Enter the offset command O+Enter, Write the measurement. Select the line of the enter. Click on the side of the line to take the offset.
5. 5. Join.
This AutoCAD command
is used to connect two separate lines. The ends of the two separate lines should face each other, then the two
lines will join.
ñ How
to use this command.
Place two lines
horizontally or vertically in front of each other. Enter the command of Join
J+Enter, select both the lines, and press the enter button with the help of the keyboard.
